This is an inventory of microfilm held in the Research Room at the Kentucky State Archives. This list does not provide online access to the records. It was created by Archives staff to help researchers determine available records before visiting or submitting a research request. Other copies of some records may also be available at the local clerk’s offices or on Family Search.

A simplified list of frequently used record types is available at the County Records Inventory. If you have any questions, please speak with Research Room staff either during your visit, or by contacting 502-564-1770 or KDLA.Archives@ky.gov.

Select Microfilm Guide to begin your search. Identify the Location, Court/Agency, Record Type, or dates you would like to search. You can choose more than one option or leave some fields blank. You can use the “Filter” to search for specific rolls or items within the list. If you would like to request specific records, click Request Records to return to the KDLA website to place an order.

Tips

Click on the headings to sort the results by a specific column, such as record type or date.
Microfilm rolls can have multiple different items on a single roll. Click on the Roll ID for more details about a specific microfilm roll and its full list of contents. It is important to note the Roll Order for the specific item before pulling the microfilm roll for viewing.
